JATRI has already gained reputation on the quality of its training program. Professional and aspiring journalists are the target audience for initial training events and are carefully selected through a transparent and competitive process. The training content is certainly of the highest quality and truly world class. Professional and experienced trainers are employed to lead these courses, to build the capacity of journalists for excellence. JATRI is teaming up with international experts and local specialists to design and deliver course curriculums. Locally known and respected editors and academics are also being invited as guest lecturers as part of it. Programmes are provided at the Center in a formal setting and include a blend of theory and practice. The duration of Individual courses range for three days thereby allowing working journalists to attend without jeopardizing their employment or income.
